Mission Statement – To teach and guide youth through the Holy Spirit to be on target with God in every aspect and decision they make in their life.  To be relevant in their lives.  Knowing and trusting in God that he will never fail them.  To alter the thinking that youth have about God and renew their mind by reminding them of the grace and faithfulness that God has given us and shown us through the Word of God.

Age Group – Youth Alive is a ministry for ages 13 to young adult. Service Time – Youth Alive meets Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. in the youth activity center at the church.

Youth Alive focus or (mission statement) has been to Connect, Go, and Grow. We are always asking in what ways can we Connect to God, the church and each other. How we can Go outside of our comfort zone both in the church & outside of our walls into the community and reach the lost & hurting. How can we teach the youth to Grow closer to God and his Word, so that we are maturing as Christians?

 AUGUST YOUTH ALIVE UPDATE

Get ready for an action-packed August, Youth Alive! We’ve got a fantastic month ahead filled with fun outings, enriching fellowship, and opportunities to serve our community. Mark your calendars and get ready to make some incredible memories!

Our biggest adventure this month kicks off on Wednesday, August 6th, as we head to Kennywood! Get ready for a day of thrilling rides, games, and unforgettable moments with your friends. We’ll be leaving promptly from the church parking lot at 9:00 AM. Our return time to the church is still to be determined, so keep an eye out for updates on our usual communication channels. Make sure you’re on time and ready for a day of excitement!

For the following two Wednesdays, we’ll be back at the church for our regular Youth Group gatherings. Join us on Wednesday, August 13th, and Wednesday, August 20th, from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM. These evenings will be filled with engaging discussions, games, and fellowship as we grow together in faith.

Rounding out our Wednesday activities, Wednesday, August 27th, is a special Service Day! We’ll be taking our youth to the Barnsville Nursing Home at 6:00 PM to bring joy and assistance to the residents. This is a wonderful opportunity to put our faith into action and bless others with our time and care. Your participation in this meaningful event will make a real difference!

And don’t forget our popular Friday Night Hangouts! Please note, there will be no hangout on Friday, August 8th. However, we’ll be back for more fun on Friday, August 15th, August 22nd, and August 29th, with hangouts starting at 6:00 PM. Come unwind, connect with friends, and kick off your weekends right!

We are so excited for all that August holds for our Youth Alive family. We pray that everyone has a truly blessed month, filled with joy, growth, and connection.

As you navigate the adventures and opportunities this month brings, remember these encouraging words from Scripture:

  • Psalm 9:9-10: “The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.”
  • Psalm 13:5-6: “But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing the Lord’s praise, for he has been good to me.”
  • Psalm 37:3-6: “Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun.”
  • Psalm 56:3-4: “When I am afraid, I will trust in you. In God, whose word I praise— in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”

We look forward to seeing you there!
