Youth Alive Update from Pastor Jimmy and Ashley Albert

About Youth Alive

Youth Alive is a ministry committed to guiding young adults on their spiritual journey. We are dedicated to nurturing the faith of our youth and empowering them to become engaged members of their community. What sets us apart is our commitment to accessibility; we offer house-to-house pickup for our youth group to ensure every young person has the opportunity to participate and thrive.

Our ministry is built on a foundation of service and evangelism. We have shared our message within the community and local schools, inspiring young people to deepen their faith and create a positive impact. Through our teachings and community outreach, we aim to develop a new generation of leaders equipped to serve others and share the love of Christ.

Meet Our Leaders

Jimmy and Ashley Albert serve as the dedicated leaders of Youth Alive. With eight years of experience, Jimmy leads as the youth pastor, while Ashley has been an integral part of the ministry for six years. Married for five years, they are blessed to serve together, sharing a passion for guiding young adults in their faith.

Beyond their pastoral roles, Jimmy and Ashley are deeply involved in the church. They lead praise and worship, assist with facility maintenance, and coordinate community events. Their enthusiasm for ministry is contagious, and they are committed to helping young people grow in their relationship with God. When you join Youth Alive, you can expect a warm welcome and a safe space to explore your faith with a team excited to journey with you.

Mission Statement

To teach and guide youth through the Holy Spirit to be on target with God in every aspect and decision they make in their life. To be relevant in their lives. Knowing and trusting in God that he will never fail them. To alter the thinking that youth have about God and renew their mind by reminding them of the grace and faithfulness that God has given us and shown us through the Word of God.

Youth Alive focus or (mission statement) has been to Connect, Go, and Grow. We are always asking in what ways can we Connect to God, the church and each other. How we can Go outside of our comfort zone both in the church & outside of our walls into the community and reach the lost & hurting. How can we teach the youth to Grow closer to God and his Word, so that we are maturing as Christians?

Age Group

Youth Alive is a ministry for ages 13 to young adult.

Service Time

Youth Alive meets Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. in the youth activity center at the church.

DECEMBER YOUTH ALIVE UPDATE

The Heart of Christmas: Hope, Joy, and Service!

December is here, a month focused on the beautiful, world-changing meaning of Christmas: the celebration of hope, joy, and God’s radical love through the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ.

The Christian meaning of Christmas rests on the Incarnation—God becoming man—to bring salvation. As the angel declared in Luke 2:10-11: ““Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.” This birth fulfilled the prophecy in Isaiah 9:6, announcing the arrival of the Prince of Peace.

The best way to celebrate this divine love is by living it out—by sharing that hope and peace with our community. This December, we have wonderful opportunities to do just that!

Youth December Schedule: Putting Love into Action

We encourage every youth member to attend these important events as we enjoy fellowship, celebrate, and serve others.

  • Wednesday, December 10th Youth Group 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the Church.
  • Friday, December 12th Youth Alive Christmas Party 6:00 – 11:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, December 17th Service Day Barnesville Nursing Home 6:00 p.m
  • Friday December 26th Friday Night Hangout 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Church

Note the Service Day on the 17th:

Bringing joy and comfort to the residents at Barnesville allows us to be the hands and feet of Christ—the true embodiment of the Christmas spirit.

Closing Encouragement

Remember, the Christmas story is the ultimate encouragement: God sent His best because He loves you completely.

We hope everyone has a blessed Christmas and a happy New Year!!!
