A Message from Pastor Jeff: Redeem Your Time

The month of August is already here. Time seems to be moving very quickly. Time is a gift from God. We need to manage the time that we have left and use it wisely. Ephesians 5:16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. This means that we are to make the best use of our time and live each day for the Lord in the evil world in which we live. We are called to be a light in a dark world so people can see Christ in us and want the same thing that we have.

Colossians 4:5-6 “Walk in wisdom toward those that are without Christ, redeeming the time. Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer every man.”

Paul is saying here to use our time wisely to speak to others about Christ in a proper manner so we can say the right things to reach them for Christ.  Don’t let an opportunity pass by to speak to someone about Christ because you may never see them again. No one is promised another day.

Psalm 90-12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts to wisdom. The word of God it’s telling us to make the most of each day that we have and to use it wisely.

Solomon said in Proverbs 11:30 “he that winneth souls is wise.”

Use your time to be a witness for Christ and be blessed.
