Honoring All Fathers This June: Earthly and Heavenly Blessings

June is already here. It’s the month we celebrate Father’s Day.  We are to honour our fathers who raised us and provided for us.  God commands us to honour our fathers in Exodus 20:12.  We need to give them the respect and honour that is due. More importantly we need to honour our Heavenly Father as well.  He’s the one who has given us life.  He also has given us eternal life through his son Jesus Christ.  He also is the one who provides all we need while we’re here on earth.  The bible says your Heavenly Father knows what things you have need of before you ask Him.  It also says if we know how to give good gifts to our children, how much more shall your Father, which is in heaven, give good things to them that ask him.  This shows us how good He is, and that he wants to have a personal relationship with each and every one of his children.

He wants each of us to experience his love, his goodness, and his mercy.  Psalm 106:1 “Praise ye the Lord, O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good, for his mercy endures forever.”
