Embracing a New Season
As August arrives and the familiar rhythm of a new school year begins, our households are buzzing with a mix of excitement, anticipation, and perhaps a few nerves. Whether you are a student stepping into a brand-new grade, a college freshman leaving home for the first time, or a parent juggling schedules, shopping lists, and early mornings, I want to encourage your heart today.
Transitions can feel overwhelming, but we do not walk into them alone. God goes before our children, our youth, and our educators into every classroom, hallway, and campus. His presence is a constant anchor in a changing world.
Let us hold fast to the promise found in Joshua 1:9:
To our students: Remember that your worth is not measured by grades, popularity, or performance, but by whose you are. You are chosen, loved, and equipped to be a bright light in your school. Let kindness guide your words and let courage guide your steps.
To our parents and guardians: You carry a heavy weight of love and responsibility. On the days when the routine feels tiring, lean on His grace. Trust that the seeds of faith, love, and prayer you are pouring into your children’s lives are taking root.
As a church family, let us commit to wrapping our students, teachers, and parents in fervent prayer this month. May God fill your school year with divine appointments, unexpected blessings, joy, and peace that surpasses all understanding.
Walking with you in faith!
Pastor Jeff
